Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through Carbon Culture UK (“we”, “us”, “our”) via www.carbonculture.uk.
By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with our Shipping, Refund and Privacy Policies.
1. Orders
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
Once an order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation using the contact details provided at checkout.
Please ensure all vehicle details, product selections, paint colours, finishes, specifications and delivery information supplied to us are correct before submitting your order.
Where additional information is required to manufacture, modify or paint an item, production may not begin until that information has been supplied.
2. Custom, Bespoke & Painted Products
A significant proportion of our products are manufactured, modified, painted or finished specifically to customer requirements.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- Custom-painted parts
- Colour-coded components
- Bespoke carbon fibre products
- Custom carbon fibre finishes or weaves
- Modified OEM components
- Personalised products
- Products produced to a specific customer specification
- Made-to-order items
Where an item is genuinely personalised or manufactured to a customer’s individual specification, statutory change-of-mind cancellation rights may not apply.
This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
3. Painted Item Lead Times
Unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page, custom-painted and colour-coded items normally require approximately 7–12 working days for production before dispatch.
This period is an estimated production timeframe and begins once we have all information required to process the order, including any necessary paint codes, colour selections or customer instructions.
Working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and UK bank holidays.
Certain products may require additional curing, quality-control, polishing, finishing or assembly time before dispatch.
During particularly busy periods, specialist finishes or unusually complex commissions may take longer. Where there is a significant anticipated delay beyond the timeframe originally indicated, we will endeavour to contact the customer.
Delivery/transit time is additional to the production period.
4. Carbon Fibre & Bespoke Manufacturing Lead Times
Carbon fibre manufacture and modification involves multiple production stages and may include preparation, laminating, curing, stabilisation, refinishing, clear coating, polishing and quality control.
Lead times therefore vary according to the product and specification.
Any timeframe provided for bespoke carbon fibre work should be regarded as an estimated completion period unless we expressly agree a fixed completion date in writing.
5. Colour Matching
Automotive colours can vary due to manufacturer variants, vehicle age, previous repairs, substrate, application method, paint system, weathering and environmental exposure.
Where a paint code is supplied, we will manufacture or refinish the item using the appropriate paint information available to us.
A paint code alone does not always guarantee an invisible colour match to an existing vehicle finish.
Where an exact match is especially important, we may recommend supplying a physical vehicle part, colour sample or arranging an in-person colour match.
Minor variations that are inherent to automotive refinishing should not automatically be considered a manufacturing defect.
This section does not affect your statutory rights.
6. Hand-Finished & Carbon Fibre Products
Many Carbon Culture products are manufactured, modified or finished by hand.
Carbon fibre is a visual composite material and natural variations may occur in weave positioning, orientation or appearance.
Minor cosmetic variations that are characteristic of handmade or carbon fibre manufacture may therefore occur between individual items.
We inspect products prior to dispatch and aim to ensure that each item meets our quality standards.
7. Product Images
Product photographs are intended to provide an accurate representation of the item.
However, colours and finishes may appear differently depending on lighting, photography, screen settings and device displays.
Images of custom or previously completed products may be provided for illustrative purposes and should not necessarily be interpreted as an exact representation of every future custom order.
8. Compatibility & Vehicle Information
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the vehicle information supplied when ordering is accurate.
Where products differ according to model, generation, body style, production year, LCI/pre-LCI specification or factory options, customers should select the appropriate version.
If you are unsure which product is suitable for your vehicle, please contact us before ordering.
Nothing in this section removes our responsibility where we have expressly advised that a product is suitable for a particular vehicle and that information proves incorrect.
9. Installation
Unless installation is specifically included within the product or service purchased, products are supplied on a parts-only basis.
We recommend that specialist automotive components are installed by a suitably competent professional.
Carbon Culture UK cannot be responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, modification after supply or installation contrary to supplied instructions.
This does not exclude liability for defects that were present when the product was supplied.
10. Inspection Before Installation
Customers and installers should inspect products before installation wherever reasonably possible.
If an item appears to have been damaged during transit, is incorrect, or appears defective, please contact us before carrying out permanent installation or modification.
Installing, drilling, bonding, painting, cutting or otherwise modifying an item may make it more difficult to establish the original condition of the product.
This does not remove any statutory rights available to consumers.
11. Cancellations
For standard, non-customised goods purchased online, statutory cancellation rights apply where required by law.
Different rules may apply to goods that are genuinely:
- Made to the customer’s specification
- Clearly personalised
- Custom manufactured
- Individually modified
- Individually painted to a customer’s specification
Where production of a bespoke order has commenced, cancellation may not be possible where the applicable statutory exemption applies.
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
12. Returns & Refunds
Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with our separate Refund Policy and applicable UK consumer law.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions is intended to restrict or exclude any statutory rights available to consumers.
13. Faulty or Incorrect Goods
If you believe an item is faulty, damaged or materially different from what was ordered, please contact us with:
- Your order number
- Details of the issue
- Relevant photographs or video where appropriate
We may ask for the item to be returned so that it can be inspected.
Where goods do not conform to the contract, your statutory remedies under applicable UK consumer law remain unaffected.
14. Shipping
Shipping timeframes shown at checkout or within our Shipping Policy relate to transit after dispatch unless specifically stated otherwise.
Production time for made-to-order, customised or painted products is additional to courier delivery time.
Once dispatched, customers will ordinarily receive tracking information where the selected service provides it.
Please refer to our separate Shipping Policy for further information.
15. Transit Damage
Please inspect parcels as soon as reasonably possible following delivery.
If packaging or goods appear to have been damaged during transit, retain the packaging and contact us promptly with photographs of:
- The external packaging
- Shipping label
- Internal packaging
- Damage to the item
This helps us investigate the matter with the relevant courier.
16. Pricing
Prices displayed on our website are shown in GBP unless otherwise stated.
The price applicable to an order is the price shown at checkout when the order is placed, subject to correction of any obvious pricing error where permitted by law.
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed before the order is completed.
17. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure website information is accurate and current.
Vehicle manufacturers may revise specifications and components during a model’s production life, and aftermarket compatibility information can occasionally change.
Where we become aware of a material error affecting an order, we will contact the customer where appropriate.
18. Intellectual Property
All original website content, product photographs, product designs, branding, graphics and written material belonging to Carbon Culture UK remain our intellectual property unless otherwise stated.
They must not be reproduced commercially without prior written permission.
Third-party manufacturer names, model names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification and compatibility purposes where applicable.
19. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing within these terms is intended to exclude or restrict a consumer’s statutory rights relating to faulty goods, goods that are not as described, or services that have not been performed with reasonable care and skill.
20. Business Customers
Where goods or services are purchased wholly or mainly for business purposes, certain consumer rights described within these terms may not apply.
Business-to-business orders may additionally be subject to individually agreed quotations, purchase orders, specifications or commercial terms.
Where separately agreed written commercial terms conflict with these standard Terms & Conditions, the specifically agreed terms will take precedence to the extent permitted by law.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The terms applicable to an order will ordinarily be those published on our website at the time the order is placed.
22. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales.
Nothing in this clause deprives a consumer residing elsewhere in the United Kingdom of any mandatory protections or rights available to them under applicable law.
23. Contact
